“Celebrating a 70th birthday, with 20 family members and close friends, with a meal laid on by Ahmad and his team from Spices and Rices was nothing short of idyllic – especially as the weather allowed the whole event to take place outdoors. The easy bit was arranging the meal which couldn’t have been simpler. The initial concern over delivery and setting up, which would entail a return journey of 30 miles, was quickly dismissed and from that point onwards it was plain sailing.
We arranged for guests to arrive from 13.30 onwards and Ahmad was true to his word in delivering and setting up at 12 noon allowing the meal to be available as soon as desired. Ahmad suggested a little tweaking of the menu which worked perfectly and the quantity of food was matched equally by the quality as demonstrated by all the guests expressing their delight at the variety of both starters and curries.
In brief, top class food delivered by top class service in a professional yet friendly manner – what more can you ask for? Thanks Ahmad and your team – we were spoilt for choice and will be back again for a repeat exercise.”

“We had Spices and Rices cater for my husbands 60th birthday party. From the very first email Ahmad, who appears to run the service, could not have been more helpful or professional. I asked for food for 50 people and chose off an extensive menu. Ahmad delivered the food to our house on the evening of the party exactly when he said he would. The food was wrapped and hot and was placed in trays of hot water with candles beneath them. He arrived at 7.30 and lit the candles after setting up all the food. We blew the candles out at 2.30 a.m as the party was winding down and the food was still piping hot at this point. We went for four starters and 4 curries per person, choosing 2 vegetable based dishes and 2 meat. These came with Naan breads, rice, salad and raita and chilli sauce. We added poppadums as an extra.
All of the food was amazing and most people went back for seconds. The samosas were crispy and the chicken tikka was succulent and well spiced. The curries were flavourful, the keema balti in particular was delicious. The poppadums came in plastic bags with 2 in each, this was a really nice touch as it kept them from going soft. There was plenty of food for 50 people and I have frozen the leftovers into several meals for my husband and I to enjoy at a later date. I wouldn’t hesitate to use Spices and Rices again if we ever required catering and I would wholeheartedly recommend them. Many thanks to Ahmad and his team for helping to make my husbands birthday such a memorable evening.”
